  • Excellence CIT Co-Responder Clinician Summary This full-time position partners directly with Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officers to provide on-scene crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment, engagement, care coordination, and follow up for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.
A Day in the Life Responds with CIT officers to behavioral health related calls. Provides crisis intervention, assessment, lethality screening, resource linkage, follow up, collaboration with hospitals, jails and community partners, maintains program statistics, and performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None.

Requirements:
Education/Experience High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred
  • Ohio licensure LSW or LPC preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ohio behavioral health license or eligibility within 6 months. Other Applicable Requirements Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and minimum auto liability coverage as required.
