Full-Time Position Overview Global Hydro Solutions, LLC is looking for a dependable, hands-on Plant Operator Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of our hydro-excavation material processing facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. This position is responsible for supervising plant operations, coordinating incoming hydro-excavation trucks, operating and monitoring processing equipment, maintaining a safe and organized facility, and ensuring daily operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable operating equipment, able to lead employees, and willing to work alongside the crew when needed.
Compensation Starting Wage :
$30.00 - $40.00, depends on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily plant operations and employees. Oversee the receiving and processing of hydro-excavation slurry and related materials. Operate and monitor screening, separation, filtration, pumps, tanks, and other plant equipment. Coordinate incoming vac trucks and maintain an efficient unloading process. Monitor water levels, tanks, processing systems, and overall plant conditions. Perform daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues as they arise. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Operate loaders, forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment as needed. Maintain accurate daily records of incoming loads, plant operations, equipment inspections, and maintenance. Ensure employees follow company safety policies and operating procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. Assist with employee training and ensure operators understand proper equipment procedures. Communicate with management regarding production, equipment issues, staffing, customer activity, and plant needs. Help manage customer and driver interactions at the facility. Respond to changing operational needs and assist wherever needed to keep the plant running efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience in plant operations, construction, excavation, industrial processing, wastewater, hydro-excavation, or a related field preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience operating loaders, skid steers, forklifts, or similar equipment. Ability to safely work around trucks, pumps, tanks, processing equipment, and heavy machinery. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and able to work independently with limited supervision. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. CDL is a plus but not required. Must be willing to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and access plant equipment safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around mud, water, heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial processing equipment. Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.
