Stein Seal is seeking a skilled Plant Superintendent who is responsible for the daily operations of our Telford facility. As a Plant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety. Your strong mechanical knowledge and ability to lead a team will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations. This position will deal directly with all levels of manufacturing and is responsible for the job functions listed below.
Responsibilities:
Maintain an environment of compliance to
AS 9100/13100
requirements and company policies and procedures Train employees to follow company processes and procedures Assign work to all direct reports using scheduling software Monitor and maintain a productive environment Maintain Time & Attendance for all assigned employees Provide a safe workplace and address any safety issues Periodically evaluate employees for productivity & quality Communicate in a professional manner with other departments Schedule time off while maintaining production levels Administer disciplinary action when required Locking the building and setting security Maintain the Skills Matrix and complete performance evaluations Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resources utilization. Evaluate and manage inventory levels for assigned products. Provide updates to the customer on a regular basis in regards to shipping dates, and future three month forecasting. Plan and release shop orders to the shop floor on a timely basis to ensure consistent flow of materials. Monitor jobs that are needed for current and future orders and coordinate with Production Supervisors where needed. Other duties as assigned by supervision/management
Education and Experience:
(5) years of verifiable supervisor experience in a manufacturing facility (5+) years working in an Aerospace Production environment Experience working with CNC Milling & Lathe Centers with the ability and understanding to setup and make G-code editing at the machine. Demonstrate the ability in production management and process improvement initiatives. Solid understanding of supply chain management principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints Excellent communication skills and present a positive and professional attitude Detail oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Inspection technique knowledge including CMM's Problem solving - RCCA/8
