Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welding Foreman to lead and oversee welding operations on construction sites. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate welding activities, ensure adherence to safety standards, and maintain high-quality craftsmanship across all projects. Your expertise will drive efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the integrity of metal fabrication processes. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate welding activities on construction sites, including metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and assembly tasks.you will be welding and working as welll Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to guide fabrication and welding processes accurately. Ensure all welding operations comply with American Welding Society (AWS) standards, safety protocols, and project specifications. Manage the use of various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to verify dimensions and tolerances. Oversee the operation of power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment to achieve precise cuts and welds. Train and mentor welding team members on proper techniques for MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) processes. Conduct quality inspections using shop math skills and fabrication shop experience to ensure all work meets project standards and specifications. Enforce safety protocols rigorously across the site to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with project managers to plan daily tasks, allocate resources effectively, and meet construction deadlines. Maintain detailed records of welding activities, inspections, and compliance documentation for project accountability.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in operating measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools. Expertise in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and welding standards. Familiarity with power tools like grinders, drills, plasma cutters, and hand tools essential for fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, plasma cutting, sheet metal work, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards on construction sites. Strong shop math skills combined with basic math proficiency for precise measurements and calculations. Experience with construction projects involving steel structures or metal materials in accordance with AWS standards. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations including handling gases and electrical equipment safely.
