Overview We are seeking a dedicated Grain and Agronomy Location Manager to lead our grain and agronomy operations at this large and busy top facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing equipment and personnel, and optimizing productivity across all facets of the location. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in grain handling, agriculture, combined with strong mechanical knowledge and leadership skills. Duties Supervise the day-to-day operations of grain storage, handling, and processing activities, ensuring efficiency and safety compliance. Coordinate the operation of heavy machinery such as forklifts, grain augers, tankers, and other material handling equipment. Oversee the maintenance and routine inspection of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Manage personnel including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations for staff involved in machine operation, manual handling, and food production. Implement safety standards in accordance with industry regulations; conduct regular safety training sessions for staff. Ensure proper manual handling procedures are followed during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries. Monitor inventory levels of grain and agronomy products; coordinate logistics for incoming raw materials and outgoing shipments. Maintain accurate records related to grain quality, equipment maintenance logs, safety incidents, and operational metrics. Collaborate with farming teams to align agronomy activities with operational goals; support crop management initiatives as needed. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies. Qualifications Extensive background in agriculture or farming operations; familiarity with crop cycles is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery used in grain storage, milling, and manufacturing processes. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, tankers, and other material handling machinery safely. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments; experience implementing safety protocols is essential. Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to inventory management and operational measurements. Experience with equipment maintenance routines and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Strong understanding of manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks; commitment to workplace safety. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with experience operating tankers or similar vehicles preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Pay:

$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
