Full Job Description General:

The purpose of this job is to supervise all aspects of boot production from raw materials to packing the finished product for customers. Assuring that the boots meet quality standards reduces returns and increases profits.

Essential Job Functions:

The primary job functions, as assigned by the supervisor, are as follows:

• Supervise employees of assigned department (recommends and/or hires/fires/disciplines/promotes employees)
• Make sure that jobs are covered, and that volume, cost, and quality standards are met
• See that department has all materials needed for production each day
• Make sure employees have a clean and safe work environment
• Train and cross train employees
• Such other job function as requested by the supervisor

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum of High School diploma, or equivalent experience .

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory and boot making experience, or related experience.

Skills:

Microsoft Office, communication skills, data analysis skills, project management skills, supervisory skills and reasoning skills. Bilingual English/Spanish.

Knowledge/Technology/Tools :

Basic knowledge of

Microsoft Office, SAP and Milo Fiscal Responsibility:

Assist with department financials as requested.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Often required to lift and carry loads of 5 pounds or more
• Often required to bend, squat, crawl and /or kneel
• Must have manual dexterity/Use fine finger movements
• Occasionally need to reach above shoulder level
• Occasionally required to drive a motorized vehicle
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical material and to perform complex calculations
• Decision making and problem solving
• Must be able to write understandably and to clearly communicate orally
• Must be able to reason through and analyze problems and issues

Work Environment:

• Occasionally exposed to excessive noise
• Occasionally required to work in areas of marked change in temperature/humidity
• Frequently must work in confined quarters
• Required to wear safety equipment
• Spends a lot of time sitting
• Occasionally required to climb stairs and/or ladders
• Sometimes required to push/pull heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
• Sometimes around moving machinery
• Sometimes exposed to dust, fumes or gases
• Sometimes required to spend a significant time standing and walking long distances
