Job Description

Position Summary Orca Concrete is seeking an experienced Hot Seal / Joint Seal Foreman to lead field crews in the installation of hot-applied joint sealants on concrete pavements, industrial floors, bridges, and related structures. This hands-on supervisory role is responsible for quality, productivity, safety, and crew performance on active job sites. Key Responsibilities Supervise and direct daily joint sealing operations, including surface preparation, heating, application, and finishing of hot-applied sealants. Plan and coordinate crew assignments, material needs, and equipment to meet project schedules and production targets. Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and quality standards. Maintain a safe work environment; enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Inspect work for proper joint preparation, sealant application, and finish quality; correct deficiencies promptly. Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety practices. Track daily production, materials usage, and labor hours; report progress and issues to project management. Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as melters, applicators, and related tools. Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trades on multi-crew or multi-trade sites. Uphold Orca Concrete's standards for professionalism, workmanship, and client satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience as a joint seal / hot seal applicator or crew lead (foreman experience strongly preferred). Strong working knowledge of hot-applied sealants, joint preparation methods, and related equipment. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and manufacturer data sheets. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a crew. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Commitment to safety and quality. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
