This position helps ensure employees understand production priorities, follow established work instructions, and meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations. The Trim Lead serves as a resource for employees on the production floor by assisting with training, coaching, problem-solving, and communication. This is a working lead position and requires the ability to perform and understand Trim Department production processes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide daily direction and support to employees within the Trim Department. Assist with communicating production schedules, priorities, and order requirements to the team. Help ensure production orders are completed according to established priorities and expectations. Communicate production issues, delays, quality concerns, or staffing needs to the Supervisor or Production Manager. Support communication and workflow between Trim and other production areas as needed. Assist employees with questions regarding processes, work instructions, tools, and production requirements. Help train and coach new and existing employees on proper work methods and department expectations. Support On-the-Job Training (OJT) activities and employee cross-training. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Monitor work areas and help ensure employees follow established safety and quality procedures. Assist with identifying production or equipment issues and communicate machine problems to the appropriate Supervisor or Maintenance personnel. Use basic hand tools and gauges required for Trim Department operations. Perform production work as needed to support the team and meet department goals. Provide feedback to the Supervisor regarding employee training, performance, and development needs. Required Qualifications Manufacturing experience preferred. Basic knowledge and ability to safely use hand tools. Basic knowledge and ability to use gauges and measuring devices. Basic PC and computer skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications. Ability to understand and follow production schedules, work instructions, and quality requirements. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide direction to others. Demonstrated ability to support team building and employee coaching. Willingness and ability to train and assist other employees. Strong attendance, dependability, and follow-through.
