Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman - Katy, TX We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman to lead our production team in Katy, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, and a proven track record of running a safe, efficient shop floor. Key Responsibilities Supervise, execute and coordinate daily shop operations, including layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and assembly Lead, train, and mentor fabricators, welders, and helpers Plan and schedule work to meet production deadlines and quality standards Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Monitor material usage, minimize waste, and maintain inventory control Inspect work for quality and dimensional accuracy Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and the field to resolve issues Maintain equipment and ensure proper tool organization Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and safety Requirements 15+ years of hands-on steel fabrication experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or lead role Strong working knowledge of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW,) Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and shop drawings Proven leadership and communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment. AWS Certified Welder or CWI preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Full-time, Monday-Friday (overtime as needed)
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
