Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are met. This role requires a strong people leader who can motivate, develop, and manage a team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet production demands in a high-volume manufacturing environment Monitor production performance metrics (e.g., throughput, downtime, scrap, OEE) and implement corrective actions Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing best practices People Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees, including training, performance management, and employee engagement Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work culture Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions Address employee relations issues in partnership with HR, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to environmental and regulatory standards Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency gains Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality) to optimize production processes Quality Assurance Ensure products meet all quality specifications and regulatory requirements Partner with the quality team to investigate and resolve production issues Drive accountability for quality at all levels of the production team Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field) 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving performance Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and operational metrics Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with ERP or production management systems Key Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Results-driven with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift) in a manufacturing environment Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, handling materials, and performing repetitive motions Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 pounds, with or without assistance Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as needed Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, and machinery Visual acuity to monitor production processes, read documents/screens, and identify safety or quality issues Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other safety gear Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations and maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced setting
