POSITION SUMMARY
The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the maintenance team for all aspects of production and building maintenance. This position is responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance and repairs to all equipment, building, and support systems are done timely, cost effectively and in accordance with GMP's, and to ensure effective use of the plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor also drives the active and effective participation of the maintenance team to the plant continuous improvement processes. This position interacts with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers and ensures the proper knowledge and skills are transferred to the maintenance technicians. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide hands on technical support to production and lead the maintenance team in their collaborative efforts with QEHS and production to ensure a safe, compliant, and cost-effective workplace and product. Ensure effective use of the CMMS, including constant enhancement to preventively address potential equipment issues. Leverage personal, vendors and team knowledge to ensure the maintenance staff has the skills and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain the equipment Actively participate in the plant continuous improvement process Supervise the maintenance team, budget, vendors, and contractors to enable the achievement of the plant safety, quality, cost, and production volume objectives Support production goals by reviewing information and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) daily for rapid corrective/preventive actions identification and implementation Ensure all safety, quality and regulatory rules, requirement, policies and regulatory are strictly followed by the maintenance department
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of food and/or beverage manufacturing maintenance experience 5 years of Industrial Maintenance Technician experience required. Certification or Associate degree in industrial maintenance, electricity, engineering, or automation; Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred Must be electrically and mechanically proficient and ability to read blueprints CAD drawings and electrical schematics Must have a good understanding of regulatory requirements related to safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety Intermediate Microsoft office skills Must be able to work in an office and manufacturing environment, work varying shifts and weekends occasionally Able to stand or sit for prolonged hours, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs. Must reside in the Palestine, TX area
