Job Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production related to their designated work area for their shift. Pay and Benefits Pay Range is Minimum $80,169 to $91,468 Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and 401K Duties and Responsibilities Creates and sustain a safe work environment Adheres to and ensure employees are following all safety requirements Completes accident reports immediately after accident happens per standard procedure Responsible for meeting quality metrics Meets or exceeds production targets Responds to production related issues to meet on-time delivery targets Communicate ISO standards and requirements to their team Certified in ISO internal auditing and performs audits as assigned Adhere to attendance policy and provide disciplinary actions when necessary Conduct weekly shift meetings with employees Read and complete shift pass down reports Prepare and plan production needs for upcoming shift Ensure all training requirements are met for employees Review, edit, authorize employee's timesheets in HRIS by the end of the pay period Approve or deny time off requests in a timely manner by the end of the pay period Conduct performance evaluations when needed in a timely manner Provide feedback on both positive and negative performance. Responsible to building a strong team through motivation, coaching and mentoring Assist with projects as assigned by manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledgeable with and/or able to learn key areas of responsibility. Ability to train Employees to perform job requirements including those related to ISO Standards. Must be able to handle different situations that will arise including emergency situations. Must be tactful in dealing with different personality types. Certified in CPR. Forklift certified by Elkhart Plastics certified Trainer. Possess adequate computer skills. Ability to learn and use programs such as Syspro, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Good communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to read and write proficiently. Education and Experience Minimum of 2 - 5 years production experience, preferably management experience leading a team. High school diploma Working Conditions Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time. This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include: Ovens, torches, and rotating tools Forklifts and other moving machinery Loud work environment Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be walking and standing most of the time as this position requires a continuous presence on the manufacturing floor.
