Charter Aarrowcast is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead teams in our modern gray and ductile iron foundry in Shawano, WI. In this role, you will coordinate daily production, enforce strict safety standards, and ensure quality castings are produced on time. You will schedule and direct operators, monitor equipment and process performance, and respond quickly to issues affecting safety, throughput, or quality. The supervisor supports training, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives, promoting teamwork and reliability while helping employees grow within the Charter Manufacturing family. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate production shift activities in a high-volume iron foundry environment Assign work, monitor performance, and coach operators to meet safety, quality, and output goals Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, PPE use, and incident reporting Monitor production schedules, adjust staffing and workflow to minimize downtime Inspect products and processes to maintain quality standards and address issues promptly Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues, escalating maintenance needs as required Track and report shift metrics, including scrap, rework, and efficiency Support training and cross-training of team members on equipment, processes, and best practices Promote continuous improvement, 5 S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the floor Communicate shift handoffs, priorities, and production status to supervisors and management Required Skills Production supervision Manufacturing operations Safety management Foundry or metal casting processes Quality control and inspection Shift scheduling and staffing Lean manufacturing/5 STroubleshooting production issues Data and metric tracking Team leadership and coaching
