Job Description
Premold is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our production team and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing employees, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As the leader of 2nd shift, you will oversee daily production, coordinate staffing, monitor performance, and serve as the primary decision-maker during your shift while partnering closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, and Management. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop production employees while fostering a positive, accountable work environment. Ensure daily production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved. Monitor safety, quality, productivity, labor efficiency, and scrap performance. Identify production issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate staffing, scheduling, overtime, and employee training. Monitor attendance, performance, and timekeeping while providing coaching and corrective action when necessary. Conduct shift meetings and communicate daily production priorities. Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Shipping to resolve production challenges. Ensure accurate production reporting and inventory transactions within the E2 Manufacturing System. Maintain housekeeping, organization, and 5S standards throughout the production floor. Promote continuous improvement and employee engagement across the department. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Experience managing employee performance and accountability. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and manufacturing software). Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or secondary operations. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with production scheduling or ERP systems such as E2. Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
