00 per hour, based on experience Engines, Inc. of West Virginia is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our Huntington, WV facility. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing daily production operations that include light steel fabrication and welding, abrasive blasting, and industrial painting . As Engines, Inc. continues to expand the fabrication work performed at this location, we are looking for a supervisor who can effectively lead employees, coordinate workflow, maintain quality and safety standards, and help support the continued growth of the operation. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production activities across fabrication, welding, abrasive blasting, and industrial painting operations. Assign work to fabricators, welders, blasters, painters, and laborers based on production priorities, employee skills, and project deadlines. Monitor production progress and adjust manpower and workflow as necessary to keep projects on schedule. Provide hands-on leadership and direction to production employees. Coordinate fabrication and welding work as additional projects are moved to the facility. Ensure employees understand job requirements, drawings, specifications, and production expectations. Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and quality of work. Train and assist employees with proper work procedures, equipment use, and safe work practices. Inspect completed and in-process work for quality and conformance to project requirements. Monitor surface preparation, including blast cleanliness and anchor profile. Monitor industrial coating application, including paint thickness, adhesion, and curing requirements. Identify and address fabrication, welding, surface preparation, coating, and other quality issues before completed work leaves the facility. Enforce company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements. Ensure employees use required PPE and follow appropriate safety procedures. Conduct safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices throughout the facility. Oversee the proper use and routine maintenance of fabrication, welding, blasting, painting, and related production equipment. Monitor material and supply needs to prevent production delays. Communicate production status, staffing needs, equipment issues, and other concerns with management. Address day-to-day employee and production issues and maintain an organized, productive work environment. Qualifications Previous supervisory, lead, or crew-lead experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or other industrial production environment preferred. Experience with steel fabrication and/or welding strongly preferred. Experience with abrasive blasting, industrial painting/coatings, or surface preparation is a plus. Ability to organize employees, prioritize work, and manage multiple production deadlines. Ability to understand job specifications, drawings, measurements, and quality requirements. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify production or quality problems and take appropriate corrective action. Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity. Ability to work effectively with both production employees and management. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
