Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Assistant working 12-hour shifts! In this energetic role, you will support the smooth operation of our production line, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain efficient workflows, optimize equipment performance, and uphold our commitment to excellence. Duties Assist production operators with setup, operation, and shutdown of manufacturing equipment Monitor production lines to ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available Perform basic production tasks such as assembling, sorting, packaging, and labeling products Conduct visual inspections of products to identify defects or quality issues Accurately complete production logs, checklists, and other documentation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area in accordance with 5S standards Follow all safety procedures, company policies, SQF and OSHA regulations Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred but not necessary. Familiarity with basic production equipment Forklift certification (will train) Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
