Job Summary :
The production scheduler plans the work schedule of all production departments using work order information and available inventory quantities. Works closely with Plant Management to reduce production costs by streamlining the production flow to reach maximum efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) Ability to complete work requests in English for the correction of defects and improvements Create the plant's manufacturing schedule and monitors it daily Makes changes to the schedule when necessary Informs management when resources are not available to complete production numbers Assists management in conducting matrix and production flow systems to reach maximum efficiency Forecasts future needs and communicates changes in usage accordingly Reports and analyzes monthly deviations from plan Identify capacity, both shortages and needs May perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit for long periods of time and work on a computer
Position Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to train and teach others. Ability to work in hot or cold environments Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend required paperwork in
English Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint (proficiency preferred) Experience in food production planning (2+ years Preferred) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
