Essential Functions Pay Rate $18.25 per hour. (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) To produce feed by safely operating all feed mill production equipment including but not limited to Mixing, Pelleting, and Grinding systems. Under the Operation Manager's Supervision, prioritize feed production sequences. Ensure feed formulas are entered correctly. Use automated equipment to manufacture (mix, grind, weigh & pellet) various types of feed: and determine what bin the feed will be placed in. Keep accurate production records, batch logs, pellet mill activity logs, micro-ingredient inventory, down time logs, etc. Take feed samples to ensure good quality. Perform general housekeeping of production area to meet OSHA standards and maintain a minimum dust level, as well as a clean working environment. Maintaining adequate levels of product in micro ingredient bins. Communicate with Operations Supervisor, Dispatcher and Feed Scheduler to meet delivery needs. Inform Maintenance personnel of any equipment problems. Assist in training of new employees. Additional duties, as instructed and/or assigned by management. Qualifications Must have good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Knowledge of computer systems is preferred. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to learn to operate forklift. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be able to learn new concepts and procedures quickly. Must be able to work flexible, rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays.
