Production in our shop moves at a fast pace. We may complete 25 to 60 jobs per day, many of which are delivered to local offices on the same day. The successful candidate will have excellent attendance and relish the level of activity we enjoy. Applicants must be 21 or older (company insurance requirement). They must have and maintain a valid California Driver's License, and a clean DMV record. Familiarity with a variety of standard vehicles is necessary. A basic understanding of cellphone mapping applications and the ability to successfully navigate to new delivery destinations is essential. Prior delivery experience is a plus. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

Skills and Duties:

Basic computer software familiarity is important (e.g. Word and Excel). This position must be able to use online systems provided by shippers (e.g. FedEx). A willingness and ability to learn how to use our equipment is essential. Prior experience working in a print shop is helpful, but we expect to train the selected individual how to use the equipment that we operate in our shop. With guidance from senior bindery workers, you will become proficient on our cutters, folders, the booklet maker, and other equipment. Manual dexterity is important as we also do hand bindery projects, and mail preparation. The ability to lift and move boxes and objects up to 50 pounds is necessary. Parts of each day are spent delivering AC+P products to our customers, to shipping locations, and to vendor locations. The outgoing mail is delivered each day to the Oakland Post Office BMEU. End of the day schedule flexibility is required to accommodate the mailing runs at the end of the day. There may be times when overtime is mandatory. The driver will be responsible for tracking fueling and maintenance on the company delivery vehicle. Planning with the production manager, he/she will make sure vehicle maintenance is performed promptly. We expect our driver to represent AC+P in a positive, professional manner in all interactions with whomever they encounter while engaged in their duties.
