Essential Job Functions Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop, execute, and maintain short

- and long-term daily production schedules to align with customer demand, operational priorities, and site performance goals.
- Schedule work orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, asset allocation, and alignment with production capacity.
- Coordinate production lines and manage product replenishment between sites.
- Evaluate line and equipment positions to accommodate sequencing, line capacity, and customer demand.
- Manage and schedule rework, special orders, and production projects, recommending overtime coordination as needed.
- Lead planning meetings with manufacturing functional groups to review priorities, capacity constraints, and planned or unplanned downtime.
- Develop recovery plans, risk mitigation scenarios, and tradeoff strategies to reduce production delays or product backorders.
- Act as primary backup for Senior Supply Chain Manager.
Inventory Management & Distribution:
- Monitor procurement lead times, safety stocks, and order fulfillment to prevent production disruptions.
- Communicate demand changes, forecasting adjustments, and supplier performance issues to the purchasing team.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, consumption areas, and finished goods to maintain optimal inventory balance.
- Implement strategies to prevent shortages and overages, optimizing storage, distribution, and cost control.
- Coordinate product allocations between plants to ensure adequate product shelf life and minimize write-off costs.
Cross-Functional Communication & Operations:
- Serve as the primary operational link between Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service.
- Prepare and distribute daily operational instructions, planning priorities, shipment readiness, and transfer requirements.
- Respond to internal order inquiries, commit product availability dates for customers, and manage schedule changes.
- Support new product introductions, revised formulations, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain standard work documentation, planning tools, reports, and forecast performance analyses to drive operational efficiency.
Compliance, Quality, and Safety:
- Ensure all finished products meet or exceed regulatory, industry, and customer requirements for food safety and quality.
- Strictly adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company safety procedures.
- Maintain compliance with company guidelines as well as Federal and State regulations (including OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GFSI).
- Report any operational anomalies, safety hazards, or potential dangers to leadership.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements/Other Skills/Abilities Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (equivalent business/manufacturing experience may be considered).
- 2-5+ years of experience in production planning, procurement, inventory, forecasting, or demand planning within a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management, and forecasting systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Proven math, analytical, and data-driven problem-solving skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
