Production experience preferred; dry-cleaning experience is a plus We are seeking a reliable, detail-focused person to join our production department as a Dry Cleaning Inspector . This role is designed as a development opportunity for someone interested in learning the dry-cleaning business, strengthening their production skills, and taking on additional responsibility over time. The Inspector is one of the final quality checkpoints before finished garments are returned to our customers. This person must take pride in quality, notice small details, communicate problems effectively, and work comfortably in a fast-paced production environment. Previous production experience is preferred. Experience in dry cleaning, laundry, garment care, or a similar environment is a plus, but is not required for the right candidate. Primary Responsibilities The Inspector will review completed garments for quality, appearance, and completion of customer requests.
Responsibilities include:
Inspecting garments for stains, wrinkles, pressing quality, damage, missing buttons, and other concerns. Determining when an item needs to be re-cleaned, re-pressed, repaired, or otherwise corrected. Confirming that special customer instructions and requests have been completed. Maintaining company quality standards before garments leave production. Communicating quality concerns with cleaners, pressers, supervisors, and other production employees. Helping identify recurring quality problems so they can be corrected. Supporting garment organization and efficient production flow. Following established procedures and avoiding shortcuts that may affect quality. Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe. Assisting in other production areas when necessary. Learning additional production responsibilities as part of the employee's development. Completing other duties assigned by management. Development Opportunity We want this employee to eventually understand more than garment inspection. As performance and knowledge develop, the employee may receive additional training in: Previous production experience preferred Dry-cleaning, laundry, or garment-care experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Willingness to learn multiple areas of production Spanish or bilingual English/Spanish preferred Valid California Driver's License required Clean driving record required Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle when needed Full-time availability, including Saturdays as scheduled Growth will happen progressively. Advancement is based on performance, demonstrated skills, reliability, business needs, and successful completion of additional training and responsibilities. What We Are Looking For A strong candidate will have previous experience in production, manufacturing, laundry, garment care, or a similar work environment. Dry-cleaning experience is a plus. The individual should have excellent attention to detail, dependable attendance and punctuality, and the ability to recognize and communicate quality problems. They must be comfortable working at a steady production pace, following established procedures, receiving coaching, and working both independently and as part of a team. We are especially interested in candidates who want to continue learning and are willing to train in multiple areas of production. Spanish-speaking or bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred. Full-time availability is required, including Saturdays as scheduled & requiered. Physical Requirements This position involves standing and moving for extended periods, regularly handling garments, bending, reaching, and completing repetitive production-related tasks. The employee must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
