Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Shop Helper and be an essential part of our production process! As a Manufacturing Shop Helper, you'll support various production activities, assist with assembly, and help maintain a safe and organized workspace. Duties Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of manufacturing equipment, including power tools and hand tools. Support assembly line activities by handling materials, parts, and components with manual handling techniques. Use measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise assembly and quality standards. Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished products, or supplies around the facility. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Participate in process improvement initiatives by suggesting efficiencies or safety enhancements. Maintain accurate documentation related to production processes, quality checks, and inventory management. Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing management systems or production document interpretation is advantageous. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, technical drawings, or interpreting measurements is desirable. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and lean manufacturing principles is beneficial. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and measuring instruments with confidence. Experience in managing or supporting assembly teams can be an asset but is not required. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent manual handling skills will help you excel in this role.
