Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assembly Lead to oversee daily assembly operations within our logistics and distribution facility. The Assembly Lead will be responsible for coordinating assembly line activities, ensuring products are built, packaged, and prepared efficiently for onward logistics processes such as warehousing, inventory management, and shipment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with logistics, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow from assembly through to distribution. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production and logistics schedules Train, mentor, and guide assembly team members to ensure productivity and quality standards are met Monitor workflow between assembly and logistics teams to ensure timely handoff of finished goods for storage and shipment Ensure assembled products meet quality control standards before being passed to inventory or logistics staff Coordinate with logistics and warehouse personnel to align production output with shipping and delivery schedules Maintain accurate records of production output, materials used, and inventory levels Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the assembly process to improve overall logistics flow Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures on the assembly floor Assist in inventory audits and stock reconciliation related to assembled goods Report production and logistics-related issues to management and recommend process improvements Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment, ideally within a logistics or supply chain setting Strong leadership and team management skills Good understanding of logistics processes, including inventory control, warehousing, and shipment coordination Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure Good communication skills, both verbal and written Basic computer literacy (inventory/production tracking systems, MS Office, etc.) Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing is a plus
