Manufacturing Production Planner/Scheduler

Nieco Windsor, CA Description The Nieco LLC Production Planner/Scheduler is a diverse position covering the planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of workflow through the manufacturing process. The Production Planner creates, tracks, and reports on the current production status of released components. The Production Planner/Scheduler plays a central role in coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing work activities across teams. This position ensures that production jobs are planned efficiently, resourced appropriately, and executed on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at balancing priorities in a fast-moving environment. Requirements
JOB DUTIES
  • Develop and maintain detailed job schedules to support operational goals and deadlines.
  • Assist the manufacturing department to actively manage the production schedule.
  • Monitor delivery issues, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze workflow data to identify bottlenecks, improve planning accuracy, and support continuous improvement.
  • Accurately maintain parts database in NIECO's MRP system.
  • Correctly assess whether required parts can be issued from Finished Goods.
  • Research order and delivery discrepancies and resolve MRP related issues. Take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.
  • Stay informed of current projects, manufacturing workload, and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare job packets, including instructions, drawings, and checklists.
  • Collect and close jobs daily.
  • Scan completed test reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A four-year degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a technical field, or 5+ years' experience in planning/scheduling in lieu of a degree.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough. A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is judiciously assertive.
  • Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload: From heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads - to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
  • Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Syteline or other MRP/ERP systems.
Salary Description $60K - $80K
