Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in (Commerce City, CO (Henderson)). These assemblies include pistons and liners, turbos, front gear housings, flywheel housing, oil pans, 2-stage turbo charger frames, camshafts, and cylinder heads. In this role you will assemble and prep these components so they can be installed on the assembly line. Must be able to lift 35 lbs, stand long periods of time, operate an overhead crane, and use precision measuring devices. Mechanical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Requires some workshop experience and intermediate level of knowledge obtained through relevant training or on the job experience of engines (Preferred).Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
