Position:
Production Associate - Electrical Panel Specialist Reports to: Production Manager Job classification: Temp to Perm /
Full-Time, Hourly Description:
Munro manufactures a range of irrigation products from small electronic control boxes to irrigation pumps, to pumping stations. Munro products are known for quality and reliability - utilizing all metal designs, which help us stand out from the competition. We are looking for a full-time hourly electrical control panel builder/pump station assembler to help support our growing business. The electrical control panel builder/pump station assembler will be responsible for the timely completion of production runs while maintaining quality standards. Munro utilizes Lean Manufacturing practices and is focused on continuous and never ending quality improvements and a safe work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Experience with industrial panels, UL 508A, and NEC requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels for water pump stations according to design specifications.
  • Install and wire components such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers, PLCs, and other electrical devices.
  • Strong understanding of AC, DC, and analog control circuits, ensuring proper installation and wiring of components.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and labeling for organized and efficient panel layout.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring for components external to the control panel, including motors, analog devices, and pilot devices, while following proper conduit and cable routing procedures.
  • Assemble mechanical components of water pump stations, including pumps, piping, and enclosures.
  • Ensure work is performed with industry standards and
ISO 9001
quality management requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following workplace safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production manager, project managers and engineers to complete projects on time.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Assist in other production areas as requested by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
  • Experience with UL 508A panel building standards
  • Knowledge of industrial automation.
  • Understanding of
ISO 9001
quality management standards.
Other Qualifications:
  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions
  • Ability to hear and respond to facility commands
  • Ability to speak English aloud and be understood by others
  • Cognitive abilities - must be able to perform problem solving, decision making, supervisory, and organizational cognitive functions. Must be able to interpret data. Must be able to read and write in English. Must be able to understand and implement strategic business functions. Must be able to communicate well with customers & colleagues to relay and understand complex ideas and instructions.
  • Lifting requirement - must be able to lift 150 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to walk around the facility, unassisted
  • Ability to stand for several hours without breaks
  • Ability to sit for several hours while performing work tasks
Additional Considerations:
    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
      Experience:
      Minimum of [2] years in electrical panel assembly, pump station assembly, or a related field.
      • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
      • Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and industry codes.
      • Familiarity with pump station components, motors, and fluid systems.
      • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
      • Fork lift certified.
      Location:

      High School Diploma or GED preferred.

      $24.00/hr, commensurate with experience.
