16 + --- Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations & Assembly Support Assistant to join our team. This role is specifically designed to provide a safe, educational, and productive introduction to the manufacturing industry. You will support our elevator production facility by handling non-hazardous assembly, inventory organization, and administrative tasks. No heavy machinery operation is required or permitted. --- Key Responsibilities 1. Bench Assembly & Electronics Support (60%)- Hand-assemble small components, such as elevator control panels, buttons, and lighting arrays.
- Connect pre-cut, low-voltage wiring harnesses to circuit boards using basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers).
- Perform visual quality checks on small parts to ensure they meet company standards before final installation. 2. Inventory & Shipping Logistics (30%)
- Count, sort, and label incoming hardware, brackets, and small components.
- Pack and seal boxes of finished small parts for shipment.
- Keep inventory shelves clean, labeled, and organized. 3. Facility & Administrative Support (10%)
- Assist the front office with light administrative duties like filing, scanning, or organizing paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench area using basic hand tools (brooms and dustpans).
NOT:
- Operate forklifts, hoists, cranes, or any power-driven lifting equipment.
- Operate power-driven metal-forming, shearing, punching, or bending machinery.
- Use power saws, abrasive cutting wheels, or commercial power tools.
- Perform any work on ladders, scaffolding, or structures higher than 10 feet.
- Enter active heavy welding or heavy fabrication zones. --- Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to small details.
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols and verbal instructions carefully.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn about the manufacturing industry.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
