Production Operator I Work Schedule:
24/5 Rotating Shifts (11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm; rotates every 28 days)
Pay Rate/Range:
$20-22/hour, depending on experience
Location:
Newark, DE Job Description As a Production Operator I, you'll work as part of a three-person production team, focusing primarily on downstream operations. You will have opportunities to cross-train in other areas, and mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities Safety & Environment:
Adhere to all safety procedures and participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives, including Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) and the safety incentive program. Provide leadership to maintain a safe, clean work environment. Communicate employee concerns and operations developments promptly to management.
Production Operations:
Safely set up and operate extrusion lines (Lines 1 & 2), slitter, granulator, and other manufacturing equipment according to SOPs and operating manuals. Perform accurate line-up and routine inspection of process equipment and assigned areas. Monitor processes for leaks and abnormalities, taking corrective action when required. Perform product transfers and sampling as per instructions. Operate fork trucks, scissor lifts, and other material handling equipment.
Quality & Maintenance:
Conduct QA analyses from referenced methods. Perform service maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to identify causes of production and process upsets.
Teamwork & Communication:
Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making skills, and functionality in a team environment with minimal supervision. Give and receive feedback effectively with peers and managers. Communicate and report developments accurately and promptly.
Additional Duties:
Complete all auxiliary duties as assigned by supervision. Ensure good housekeeping in assigned area. Perform other tasks as required. Minimum Requirements Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments. Highly resourceful; able to seek out new knowledge and teach others. Experience in manufacturing preferred.
