Junior Baking Production Assistant (Entry Level) We're a woman-owned wholesale vegan bakery in St. Petersburg, Florida, and we make large quantities of croissants out of our own commercial kitchen — our own space, our own equipment. We're looking for an entry-level Junior Production Assistant to join our small team. No baking experience required.

Our last Junior Production Assistant was promoted to a managerial role and the idea is to keep promoting from within as we expand. We also keep a calm, clean, focused shop. Our team works alongside each other but independently — quiet, heads-down. If you've worked in loud, chaotic kitchens before, know that this is different, and you should be comfortable with that pace. Reliable transportation to our commercial kitchen in St Petersburg is a must. Responsibilities

• Prepare vegan baked goods according to company recipes, paying strict attention to detail and quality
• Perform repetitive prep and production tasks accurately and consistently
• Ensure all ingredients used are fresh and of the highest quality
• Help ensure that all vegan baking standards are met
• Monitor and maintain baking equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Assist in other areas of the bakery when needed
• Help maintain accurate inventory of ingredients
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
• Work well with others in a quiet, focused environment Requirements
• No prior baking experience required — willingness to learn is essential
• Must be available mornings 7am-noon
• This role starts during our busiest season, which includes markets and the holidays — full availability through this period is required, and we ask that time off not be planned until next year (of course federal holidays are off, though)
• Reliable transportation to the commercial kitchen in St. Petersburg
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work on your feet for several hours at a time
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay:

$16.50 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 10.0 per week
