The High Speed Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating high speed cutting equipment. The high-speed machine operator sets up, runs, and monitors high speed production cutting machinery (Urschel Translicer, Urschel E-Translicer, Urschel Sprint, and Kronen machines). Responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine parameters (e.g. speed, tension, blade set-up), troubleshooting, and inspecting finished products for correct cut specifications and defects. Responsibilities Calibrate and prepare machinery for production runs Observe high-speed machinery to ensure efficient operation and compliance with specifications Maintain a tidy and organized workspace; ensuring cleanliness throughout your tasks Clean, sanitize, and set-up cutting equipment for the desired cut size for each product Follow food safety procedures and guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing the machine between commodities, and at the end of shift Follow strict safety protocols, including wearing PPE (e.g. safety glasses, aprons, gloves) Other duties as required Requirements Previous experience with high-speed processing machinery Capable of working in a cold environment; approximately 35 degrees Standing is required for most of the shift (not including breaks) Above average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot and balance Normal dexterity of hands and fingers with average repetition Bending, stooping, kneeling and crouching Ability to push up to 50 lbs Ability to pull up to 50 lbs Ability to lift 50 lbs Company operates Sunday through Saturday shifts. Candidate must be able to work a five (5) day work schedule anytime within the production days, Sunday through Saturday, and overtime as required. 1st and 2nd shifts available

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
