Position PurposeThe Team Leader supports the efficient operation of the department by coordinating daily tasks, ensuring production goals are met, and assisting team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving. The Team Leader acts as a key point of contact for the team, promoting safety, quality, and productivity within the department.
Essential FunctionsCoordinate and organize daily work assignments to align with production schedules and priorities.
Provide on-the-floor support to team members by addressing questions, troubleshooting equipment or process concerns, and escalating issues as needed.
Monitor product quality and process consistency to ensure specifications and standards are maintained.
Promote adherence to all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and other departments to share updates, resolve issues, and maintain smooth production flow.
Assist in onboarding and training new team members on job duties, safety expectations, and department procedures.
Conduct regular checks of the work area to ensure it remains organized, clean, and compliant with safety guidelines.
Track and report key production data such as throughput, downtime, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement efforts.
Encourage teamwork, accountability, and alignment with company values and performance expectations.
Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
