Summary:
The Production Associate is an active member of the production department that works both independently and as part of the production team The position of Production Associate reports directly to the Operations Manager Primary Responsibilities Willingness to train on and have a clear understanding of all procedures required for production Operates all equipment and machinery required to meet production demands Must be able to understand and complete quality documentation per ISO standards Must have a keen sense and appreciation for quality with a willingness to adhere to all quality guidelines Ability and knowledge of boxing, rolling and casing procedures and processes of all products Follows procedures, operate machines safely and ensures they are in proper working order Reports deficiencies and safety issues as soon as they are observed to Production Manager Provides motivation and support to teammates as needed Critical Functions Externally Focused Activities Ensures that production numbers are being met and exceeded to keep adequate inventory required to meet the growing demands of marketing and sales of Microcopy Dental Internally Focused Activities Participates in ensuring that the production department is running safely and efficiently Effectively communicate with team lead to ensure production needs are being met Continuously look for ways to improve production processes and procedures while working within the quality guidelines Continued awareness of safety and quality in the production environment Responsible for ensuring personal training records are properly maintained Ensures continuous training and willingness to learn new processes and procedures Reports deficiencies as quickly as possible to reduce impact of production Willingness to assist teammates as needed to meet production needs Personal and Leadership Skills Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels Both verbal & written communication skills are essential to the success of the Production Associate Proficient at finding and adhering to win-win solutions Ability to create and foster a team environment with all Microcopy Dental employees Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete them accurately and on time A keen ability for attention to details Strong desire to gain leadership qualities Ability to resolve conflict between team members quickly and fairly Computer Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desired but not required Ability to learn and use an ERP program Licenses, Certifications, Registrations Valid driver's license Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands and arms to manipulate, handle, reach and feel with the occasional need to lift parts up to 50 pounds No smoking for a minimum of 45 minutes before work shift begins and throughout the workday...this is a Clean Room environment with ISO restrictions regarding air quality in the room Education / Experience Requirements High school diploma minimum Experience within a production environment preferred but not required Mechanical aptitude preferred but not required General business knowledge Team based work experience
