Job Description

Uni-Structures is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Control Assistant to join our team for a nine-month temporary assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is comfortable working with detailed information, and has strong organizational and problem-solving skills. What You'll Do As a Production Control Assistant, you will help ensure customer orders are accurately prepared and released to the manufacturing floor on schedule. You will work closely with multiple departments, including Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Operations, to help keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Process customer orders and prepare shop packets for the manufacturing floor Organize and track current orders based on scheduled ship dates Review and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) Update shop packets when materials, labor requirements, designs, or customer orders change Help determine material needs for upcoming work orders Research and resolve discrepancies involving forms, BOMs, and other production paperwork Communicate with multiple departments to obtain information and clarify order details Assist the Production Control team with keeping work organized and moving through manufacturing on schedule What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Strong data-entry skills Good mathematical and analytical abilities Strong problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities at once Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines Ability to remain focused while completing detailed work Strong verbal communication skills Quick learner who is comfortable adapting to changing priorities
