General Production Worker - Rotary Prep 1st Shift | Career Growth Opportunity |
Hands-On Manufacturing Role Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30
PM Overtime Available:
Occasional 1-2 hours after shift as needed, typically once or twice per week. We're hiring a General Production Worker - Rotary Prep to join a growing manufacturing company that produces custom rotary dies used in the packaging industry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, construction, or woodworking experience who are looking to learn new skills, work in a stable environment, and build a long-term career with room for advancement. What You'll Do As a Rotary Prep team member, you'll prepare custom rotary dies for production using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities Prepare rotary dies after laser or water-jet cutting for the next stage of production Use hand and power tools to modify and assemble die components Ensure dies are properly prepared for blade and rubber installation Follow work orders, blueprints, visual instructions, and specifications Perform measurements and verify dimensions using basic math skills Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Assist in other production departments as needed Lift and move materials safely, including team lifts for larger dies Work closely with coworkers to maintain quality and productivity standards Use computers to access work orders, instructions, and production information What We're Looking For Required Qualifications At least 6 months of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience Experience safely using hand and power tools Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and assist with heavier team lifts Ability to follow written and visual instructions accurately Basic math and measuring skills Comfortable using computers and reviewing electronic work orders Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for the duration of the shift Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Preferred Experience High school diploma or GED Construction, woodworking, assembly, or fabrication experience Experience working in a team-oriented production environment Interest in learning additional manufacturing skills and cross-training opportunities Opportunities for Growth This company believes in developing employees from within. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
