General Production Worker Pay $15.40 Job Description This role focuses on electronic assembly of switches used in military, government, agriculture, and healthcare applications. You will work with small components, hand tools, and precision equipment to build and assemble parts, ensuring high-quality standards and attention to detail throughout the production process. Responsibilities Perform electronic assembly of switches and related components for various end-use applications. Handle and assemble small parts, demonstrating strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Use hand tools and power tools to build, fasten, and adjust different component parts according to specifications. Gather and organize all materials and components required for each assembly task. Place and secure components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision and accuracy. Follow detailed work instructions and production drawings to complete assemblies correctly. Maintain focus and attention to detail while working at an individual workstation. Stand and sit for extended periods throughout the shift, adapting to the physical demands of the role. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and consistency in all assembled products. Support overtime production needs, contributing to 50-60 hour workweeks as required. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing environment with long rows of workstations, typically five stations per row. You will work at your own station, alternating between standing and sitting throughout the day, while handling small components and using hand and power tools. The culture is relaxed but performance-focused, with an expectation that you understand your tasks and complete them reliably without micromanagement. The schedule includes multiple shifts, such as a first shift beginning as early as 5:30 a.m. and a second shift running into the evening, and you can expect substantial overtime, currently 50-60 hours per week. Health and safety procedures include temperature checks and brief medical screening questions at the start and near the end of each shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
