Smokehouse Operator-2nd Shift| $22.05/hr. Lopez Foods in Cherokee, Iowa is searching for a Smokehouse Operator to join our growing company. The perfect candidate for this position would have a strong attention to detail; as it is a crucial skill to this operator role. The Smokehouse Operator position is a time-sensitive position, working 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm to 12 am.

Pay Increases:

After 6 months employment: $22.35/hr After 12 months-$22.65/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Operators will be responsible for the process steps for operation of the smokehouses; to include but not limited to procedures of loading and unloading racks of product, taking and recording temperatures, loading and unloading racks of product and weighing/moving racks of product from freezers to coolers. Operators must follow all established food safety, safety policies, rules, programs, and practices at all times

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED 6 months production/smokehouse experience, preferred Attention to detail, required Must be forklift certified or able to become certified Must be able to be able to work in temperatures of 0-40 degrees
