General Production Worker (1st shift) 7:00am-3:30pm $18/hr (2nd Shift) 3:30pm-12:00am $19/hr Job Description This entry-level general production role supports multiple functions within a meat-processing facility. The position focuses on general labor tasks, maintaining clean and sanitary production areas, and assisting with equipment, materials, and product handling to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Requirements:

1 year of manufacturing experience - preferably in food but not required Ability to follow directions accurately and work under minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task safely in a fast-paced production environment. Capability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a regular basis. Comfort working around moving mechanical parts and at high or precarious places. Ability to work effectively in colder (around 30 degrees) and warmer temperature areas. Comfort working in a high-noise manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Dependable and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to follow directions carefully and work under minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing. Willingness to work weekends and overtime hours as needed. Ability to multi-task safely in a fast-paced production environment. Comfort working in a meat-processing or food production setting. Capability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to use both hands and maintain manual dexterity for handling products and equipment. Attention to detail when inspecting products, labels, and code dates. Comfort operating basic production tools such as a manual hand jack and making simple machine adjustments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, general labor, or general manufacturing roles. food manufacturing, food production, packing, or cold storage environments. Experience with meat, meat cutting, or cold food handling. Previous experience in roles such as line cook or food prep. Familiarity with high-volume production lines and quality inspection. Comfort working around moving mechanical parts and at heights when required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
