Job Description
Position Overview Sofidel America is hiring multiple PM Support Hands for our manufacturing facility in Lewiston, Idaho. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in manufacturing with a global industry leader. The PM Support Hand safely operates and supports manufacturing processes to produce quality products while complying with all safety, environmental, and operational standards. This role operates production equipment, monitors processes, performs material handling and routine maintenance support, maintains required documentation, and works collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and other departments to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. Job Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and emergency response requirements. Safely operate production equipment, forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other mobile equipment as certified. Perform routine housekeeping, equipment cleaning, inspections, and preventative maintenance support. Monitor equipment, production processes, and chemical systems; report safety, quality, or operational concerns promptly. Handle chemicals, inventory, and materials according to established procedures. Support paper machine operations, stock preparation, pulper processes, production changeovers, and maintenance activities. Operate cutting equipment, perform material handling, and complete other production tasks as assigned. Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain required documentation, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and other departments to support safe and efficient operations. Perform physical job duties, maintain regular attendance, work overtime or alternate shifts as needed, and complete other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivanlent. 1+ years of continuos employment required; industrial or paper manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer skills; familiarity with work order systems preferred.
