Job Description
The Rockford Rivets are looking for a qualified individual to join us as a Webcast Content Production Assistant for the summer of 2027. The season runs from May through mid-August. The employee in this position will help in the production of broadcasts for all Rivets home games, allowing the employee a chance to gain professional baseball broadcast experience and to work in a learning environment, helping to enable career advancement. They will assist the directors in live streaming during the summer. The production is a three-camera/potentially four-camera stream with limited graphics, commercials and more. The person(s) will also have other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities :
Serve as an assistant to the directors for all Rivets home game broadcasts helping to get the crew on the air, off the air and do everything in between from editing highlight packages to assisting camera operators and doing more. Assist with the operation of broadcast equipment, running commercials and more. Edit content from the broadcast for upload to social media as well as being repurposed for the stream. Step in and help take over as either director or camera operator as needed in the event of emergency. Shoot, edit and upload player and coach interviews and other web content to the team's social media and website, as well as edit interviews for use on the air (can have interview opportunities) Help broadcasters with shows as needed (log/digitize video, write scripts, generate ideas, may host pre or post-game shows) Edit and produce content for socials as needed. Assist in the set-up and tear-down of booth. Adequately prepare for broadcasts prior to arrival at the stadium.Requirements:
Experience in production of live sports preferred Experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (including but not limited to Premiere, Photoshop, etc.) Scriptwriting and a knowledge of cinematography preferred Knowledge of baseball preferred Knowledge of TV sports production preferred Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a field of communications, PR, marketing or a related field (or experience post graduate) Passion for sports, broadcasting A strong work ethic couple with the ability to work with others Energy to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment Must be available to work from the beginning of the May to at least near the end of the season Self-starter, pro-active and highly motivated Have great communications and interpersonal skills, along with a positive and energetic personality Learn quickly and work well under pressure Proficient understanding of broadcast equipment, streaming devices Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile Able to assume other responsibilities as required We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Benefits
