Position Overview Drecisco is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Operator to join our production team in Marengo, Illinois. The Production Operator supports the day-to-day manufacturing, processing, packaging, and sanitation activities associated with cannabis-infused products. This is a hands-on production position requiring employees to follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, meet production expectations, and consistently follow quality, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Operate production equipment such as drop rollers, panning equipment, kettles, depositors, and other manufacturing equipment as trained and authorized. Assist with the preparation and processing of cannabis-infused products, including weighing, mixing, depositing, finishing, and packaging. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, batch records, and production requirements. Accurately weigh, document, and handle cannabis materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations. Complete production logs, batch documentation, inventory records, and other required documentation accurately and on time. Conduct visual quality checks of products, labels, and packaging for consistency and accuracy. Count, label, and package finished products according to production specifications and regulatory requirements. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary production areas throughout the workday. Perform required equipment cleaning and production-area sanitation. Report equipment malfunctions, downtime, product discrepancies, quality concerns, or process issues to leadership promptly. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established workplace safety requirements. Assist with production changeovers, setup, breakdown, and cleaning as needed. Work collaboratively with other members of the Production team to meet daily production goals. Perform other production-related duties as assigned by leadership. Schedule & Availability The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday . Production schedules may vary based on manufacturing demands, product launches, order volume, equipment availability, and other operational needs. Occasional overtime, extended workdays, early starts, late work, and weekend work may be required to support production schedules and business needs. When work outside of the employee's normal schedule is required, scheduling will be communicated in advance whenever reasonably possible. Because this is a non-exempt position, employees are expected to accurately record all time worked in accordance with company policy. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1+ year of experience in food production, manufacturing, packaging, or a related production environment preferred. Previous cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and established production procedures. Basic math, measurement, and data-entry skills. Ability to accurately complete production and compliance documentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a production team. Comfortable working around production equipment and in a manufacturing environment. Must be comfortable wearing required PPE. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must meet all applicable requirements for employment within the Illinois cannabis industry. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive production and packaging tasks. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform other movements associated with production work. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely work around manufacturing and production equipment. Ability to wear required PPE for the duration necessary to perform assigned tasks.
