Temp-to-Hire Schedule Information Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Mandatory overtime as required Press Operator Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required At least two years of machine-operation experience in a manufacturing environment Previous press or metal-stamping experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to use gauges and other measuring devices Ability to read safety notices, control plans, quality alerts, and work instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Excellent attendance and reliability Ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team Availability for mandatory overtime based on production needs Key Responsibilities Start, set up, operate, and monitor automatic press equipment. Position and clamp feed guides according to job requirements. Assist with threading metal strips from decoilers through pinch rollers and into dies. Load metal blanks into hoppers or conveyors. Verify dies are clear of foreign objects before operation. Adjust ram, feed, and die-protection systems as needed. Monitor equipment and production processes for safe and efficient operation. Meet established production and quality goals. Complete first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections. Use visual inspections, gauges, and measuring devices to verify product quality. Ensure only acceptable parts move to the next production operation. Report equipment, safety, or quality concerns immediately. Follow established packing and stacking procedures. Complete production reports, quality alerts, and other required documentation. Maintain a clean and organized press area. Follow all machine-guarding, PPE, safety, and operating procedures. Perform additional manufacturing duties as assigned. Work Environment This position works in an active manufacturing environment around stamping presses and other moving mechanical equipment. Employees may encounter varying temperatures, vibration, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and high noise levels.
