We are seeking an experienced Commissary Cook / Food Production Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with restaurant, catering, deli or high-volume food production experience who enjoys cooking but is looking for the consistency of a Monday-Friday work schedule. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to established recipes and production standards Prepare ingredients including cutting, chopping, measuring, mixing and portioning Produce foods in larger quantities for distribution to our store locations Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistent taste, quality and portion sizes Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Monitor cooking temperatures and follow proper food-handling procedures Package, label and organize finished products for distribution Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen and work area Follow all food safety, sanitation and company procedures Monitor ingredient and supply levels and communicate production needs Work efficiently with the commissary team to complete daily production schedules Assist with receiving, storing and rotating ingredients as needed Perform additional food-production duties as assigned What We're Looking For Previous restaurant, commercial kitchen, catering or high-volume cooking experience preferred Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and commercial kitchen equipment Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency across large batches Understanding of food safety, sanitation and proper food storage Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced production environment Dependable, punctual and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move food products and supplies Why You'll Love This Position Restaurant experience.
