Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stamp Press Operator for the first shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining stamping presses to produce high-quality metal components according to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and a thorough understanding of safety standards in production environments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient manufacturing processes while ensuring product quality and safety compliance. Responsibilities Set up and operate stamping presses, ensuring proper tooling and machine adjustments for each production run. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to accurately produce parts. Conduct precise measurements using measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of finished components. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on stamping presses and auxiliary equipment. Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Utilize shop math and basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements. Inspect finished parts for defects or deviations from specifications and document quality control results. Assist with tooling changes, machine calibration, and setup adjustments as needed. Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and uphold quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience operating stamping presses or similar metal fabrication machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), press brake machines, and hand tools is highly desirable. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precision measurement. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools. Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols. Basic shop math skills including measurement conversions, tolerances, and calculations related to machining. Mechanical aptitude with experience in machine operation, tooling setup, fabrication processes, and quality inspection. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measurement accuracy and product quality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
