Food Production Line Lead 2nd shift
Job Description
2nd Shift (2:15 PM -11 PM) Monday through Friday Responsible for overseeing individual production line or two similar production lines to ensure that all personnel are on task and to aid in the overall performance of the line. Line leads are also responsible to report major line down time issues to the supervisor of manufacturing for plant reliability tracking. The production of safe quality products while demonstrating the adherence of GMP policies and Food Safety Prerequisite Programs. The assembly line duties to include: packing boxes, capping containers, stacking boxes per pallet patterns, inspecting for legible date codes on primary and secondary packages. Maintaining clean organized work stations. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for following line specific S.O.P.s 2. Strictly follows line Quality Leader instructions 3. Responsible for keeping pace with assembly line speeds 4. Evaluates off quality packaging and separates per acceptance criteria from products to be shipped 5. Communicate with the Production Supervisor and the Quality Leader on QA/QC related concerns 6. Inspects ingredients for foreign matter prior to adding to hoppers 7. Performs assigned site cleaning schedule expectations 8. Any other function management deems essential Qualifications
- Diploma/GED
- Previous line lead or supervisor experience
- Knowledge and experience with GMP's, food safety programs (SQF, etc.), manufacturing, production, packaging and distribution
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, kneel and stoop
- Basic math skills
- Effective communication skills verbally and written
