Precision Manufacturing | Production Support | Industrial Manufacturing Keep Manufacturing Running Behind the Scenes Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a well-established Northern Michigan precision manufacturer to hire a Production Support Associate . This important role helps keep production moving by supporting material handling, recycling operations, housekeeping, and general shop activities throughout the facility. What You'll Be Doing In this position, you'll: Collect metal chips from production machines and process them using a chip spinner Move materials throughout the facility using tier-lift trucks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment Weigh, sort, and document scrap materials and production byproducts Support recycling and scrap removal operations Clean production equipment and maintain organized work areas Remove trash and help keep manufacturing areas operating efficiently Sort, rack, box, and prepare finished parts for the next stage of production Assist with deburring and reworking machined components as needed Support production and maintenance teams with general shop responsibilities Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards What We're Looking For Successful candidates typically have: High school diploma or GED Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Manufacturing, warehouse, production, or material handling experience is helpful but not required Ability to pass pre-employment screening Benefits May Include Benefits vary by employer but may include: Competitive starting pay Weekly pay Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Holiday Pay 401(k) On-the-job training Career advancement opportunities Stable, full-time employment Why You'll Love This Opportunity Starting pay of $16.00/hour Consistent Monday-Friday second shift schedule Excellent entry point into precision manufacturing Variety throughout your day with multiple responsibilities Active, hands-on work that keeps you moving Learn valuable manufacturing processes and material handling skills Opportunity to grow into machine operation, production, or skilled manufacturing roles Stable career with a respected Northern Michigan manufacturer Real Talk This is an active support position where you'll spend your shift moving materials, processing scrap, cleaning equipment, organizing production areas, and helping manufacturing teams stay productive.
