Signage, Graphics & Fabrication Manufacturing Position Summary The Production Quality Lead is an experienced sign manufacturing professional with responsibility for quality and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving quality standards across printing, CNC routing, fabrication, paint, millwork, assembly, and installation operations. The successful candidate will help build scalable quality systems, assist in production team training and benchmarking, reduce rework, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. The role will involve monitoring production processes, inspecting finished goods, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The position requires adaptability and strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, work-in-process and finished products for compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Develop and maintain quality control procedures, work instructions, inspection checklists and SOPs. Establish measurable quality KPIs, dashboards and reporting processes. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions. Partner with production leaders to reduce waste, defects, rework and inefficiencies. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across print, fabrication, paint, millwork and assembly operations. Train employees on quality standards, inspection methods and best manufacturing practices. Maintain electronic quality records, audits, inspections and process documentation. Collaborate with design, project management, production and installation teams to ensure manufacturing excellence. Required Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing quality process improvement and leadership, manufacturing engineering or a related role. Experience in sign manufacturing, large-format graphics, commercial printing, custom fabrication, millwork, display/exhibit manufacturing or a similar environment. Working knowledge of large-format printing equipment, CNC routers, fabrication equipment, paint systems and production workflows. Ability to read production drawings, construction documents and manufacturing specifications. Strong skills in Excel and electronic documentation systems. Excellent communication, training and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of color management, substrates, graphics production and signage installation requirements. Experience developing SOPs, quality audits and performance benchmarks.
