Job Description

Peninsula Plastics is looking for hard-working and motivated individuals to join our team as Hi-Lo Operators. We currently have openings available on both 1st and 2nd shift. Please read the following information about our position before clicking "Apply":
Location:
Candidates must be able to travel between our facilities in Pontiac and Auburn Hills, which are located within approximately one mile of each other.

1st
Shift:
5:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2nd
Shift:
3:30 PM - 2:00
AM Shift :
Monday and Thursday Pay :
$19.00/hr, with a shift premium available for 2nd shift
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Hi-Lo Operator supports our production team in various areas, including shipping and receiving, moving materials to and from machines, material handling, and other tasks as assigned. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision when necessary.
Reports to:
Shift Supervisors and Team Leaders Responsibilities Perform daily inspections before beginning operations and regularly check Hi-Lo equipment for faults or damage. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Safely operate and maneuver a Hi-Lo in a busy manufacturing facility while completing assigned tasks. Handle shipping and receiving operations as assigned. Perform material handling duties as assigned. Assist with inventory management as assigned. Unload deliveries and safely relocate goods to their designated areas. Safely stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets. Work with the Plant Supervisor to ensure all production needs are met. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Previous Hi-Lo operating experience and accredited certification required. Experience working in a manufacturing facility, plant operations, factory, or similar setting preferred. Ability to work well as part of a team and coordinate the movement of goods with other staff. Must be able to lift up to 35-40 pounds. Ability to work long shifts in a loud industrial environment, including exposure to extreme heat. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to multitask effectively. Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime as required. Understanding of production and plant processes. Strong organizational skills. Strong critical-thinking skills.
