Imerys is hiring a Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Vicksburg, MI. In this role, you will play a key part in our daily manufacturing operations—handling finished goods, operating forklifts, supporting quality control, and maintaining equipment.

Safely operate a forklift to move materials, prepare shipments, and load trucks. Follow daily verbal and written instructions from the shift foreman. Assist the Quality Control (QC) team with basic product testing and monitoring. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to spot equipment issues and assist with basic repairs or adjustments. Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all plant safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or forklift operation preferred (training provided).
Core Skills:
Ability to read/interpret safety rules and manuals, basic math skills (averages, percentages), and practical problem-solving abilities.
Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment, high areas, and varying temperatures (furnaces/cyclones).
