Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description Join our team as a Production Operator where you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and cleaning machines to mix, blend, or agglomerate food-grade chemicals and materials. This role requires monitoring production parameters, handling raw materials, and managing waste according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also be responsible for moving products and materials using a manual pallet jack, weighing products, and recording digital weights. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and clean machines for mixing and blending food-grade chemicals. Monitor production parameters and handle raw material reception. Manage waste in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Move products/materials using a manual pallet jack and weigh them before storage. Read and record digital weights on a small scale. Move filled bags weighing up to 50 lbs and push/pull bowls weighing up to 1,000 lbs. Perform heavy lifting and multi-task effectively. Operate control panels and demonstrate willingness to learn new skills. Climb ladders and stairs safely and work comfortably with chemicals. Request assistance when needed. Essential Skills Ability to perform heavy lifting and push/pull heavy objects. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently. Basic math skills and multi-tasking ability. Experience in operating control panels or smartphones. Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills. Comfortable climbing ladders and working with chemicals. Experience in a general labor, construction, or manufacturing environment within the last 5 years. Minimum of 1 year of continuous employment with the same company in the last 5 years. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, machine operation, or food manufacturing. Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours. During the summer, temperatures can reach up to 90 degrees in some areas, while winters remain comfortable. Orientation is completed on-site within 3-4 hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Faribault, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
