Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Paraffin Process Operator to join our manufacturing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring WR Medical's paraffin production process, including raw material handling, blending, pumping, pastilling, bagging, packaging, palletizing, and production documentation. The position works closely with the Paraffin Production Lead to learn all aspects of the manufacturing process and is expected to become fully proficient in independently operating paraffin production while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This position takes day-to-day work direction from the Paraffin Production Lead but is expected to develop the knowledge and technical skills necessary to operate the department independently during the Lead's absence. Responsibilities Paraffin Production Operations Operate blending tanks, pumps, pastiller, bagging equipment, packaging equipment, and palletizing operations. Monitor production equipment and make process adjustments within established operating parameters. Prepare raw materials and stage production according to the production schedule. Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and changeovers. Ensure finished products meet established quality standards. Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting Perform first-level troubleshooting on production equipment. Identify equipment concerns and communicate maintenance needs promptly. Assist with preventive maintenance activities. Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper operating condition. Quality & Documentation Perform in-process quality inspections. Complete production paperwork and ERP transactions accurately. Verify lot traceability, labeling, weights, and batch documentation. Report quality concerns immediately. Safety Safely operate equipment involving heated paraffin, pumps, conveyors, and moving machinery. Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping requirements. Maintain a clean and organized production area. Cross-Training & Development Train under the Paraffin Production Lead to become proficient in all paraffin manufacturing processes. Demonstrate the ability to independently operate paraffin production during the Lead's absence. Continuously expand technical knowledge of equipment and manufacturing processes. Assist with training future production employees as experience grows. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and throughput. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Recommend improvements to equipment, workflow, and production methods.
